If your Student Group is inviting an External Speaker in. You must complete and submit the External Speaker Form  at least 15 working days' prior to the event taking place. External Speakers may need to be checked by the University and Union, prior to the event.

Failure to follow may result in Strikes being administered against your Student Group or us not being able to facilitate your booking.

Here is the process to follow when facilitating room bookings for External Speakers:

1. Completing the form

Firstly, you will need to complete all details on the External Speaker Form and submit to [email protected] or submit a ticket to the Support : Support Desk, alongside your room booking request.

2. Room Booking

You will also need to complete a room booking form, ensuring all the terms and conditions and processes are followed. You can find out more information here: Booking rooms & spaces

3. Vetting stage

The SU will liaise with the University to inform them of a booking, when necessary. At this stage, we will pass on the information submitted in the form, or if the speaker requires no vetting, we will accept the booking.

4. Approval

We will be in touch to approve your booking, or if there are any comments or anything else that needs to  be made.

If you have any question or you feel like your form is taking a while to approve, please get in touch and we'll be happy to sort it out!
