The Union aims to be inclusive as possible and ensure our students who have disabilities are confident that they can

participate in our student groups. Whether you want to join a student  sport group or one our many societies, the Union wants to help you find the right student group. We pride ourselves in making accommodations for our students with physical disabilities as well as disabilities that can't be seen. The union also welcome any of our students to form their very own student groups if they would like a space for themselves,  as in the past students have formed para swimming societies and much more!  If you would like a guide on how do so have a look at a few of our articles on Starting a new society and Starting a New Sports Club

If you would like to hear more for from the Union about what accommodations are available to you, feel free to contact us at the Helpdesk. Alternatively you can fill out this survey here generated by the University aimed at accommodating those with disabilities who wish to join student groups.

One of our student testimonies:

‘I genuinely couldn't give more credit to Swansea uni or the programme with how supportive they have been.  Nothing is too much to ask for and there is always someone to talk to or help out whether that's with timetables, exams or training.  It's flexible and challenging but beneficial because it allows me to train and study without feeling too much pressure.  3 years with the programme has flown by and I would recommend this to anyone.’
