About the role?
School Reps represent Undergraduate and Post Graduate Taught students’ interests at a school level across a variety of channels. What this means is that they need to gather feedback about the issues that affect students in your school. They then discuss with other school reps both inside and outside of your faculty and present them to the university. They might be involved in designing or implementing changes based on the feedback you present.
How to become a School Rep?
Applications for the position of School Rep open in the Spring with successful candidates being invited for a group interview. The group interview panel consists of the SU Academic Representation Coordinator, the Student Partnership and Engagement Officer and School Engagement Leads. Don't worry it is not a daunting process but a chance for us to see what you understand about the role and why you would be suitable.
