Making the Most of your Student Group Web Page

Each student group has its own webpage on the SU website. This page is a super useful tool to spread information, learn about members, create events, and process finances. 

This article will briefly explain how committee members can access a student group's control panel and how to use the tools available to them.

Logging In

To log in to the SU website you will need to know your student group email and password. Navigate to the SU website and click on the drop-down menu in the top right-hand corner of the screen, then click log in. 

Student groups will need to log in via the "Staff & Guest" login option. 

Accessing your Control Panel

To access your group's control panel once logged in click on the drop-down menu in the top right-hand corner of the screen again. Click on Organizations, where you should now see your student group name. Click on your student group name to proceed to your control panel. 

Your control panel is made up of useful tools to support the running of your group. Here is a short breakdown: 

Edit Details - Change the information on your group's page, add a photo, listing description, and social media links. 

Members - View a list of your group's members 

Groups - Assign members into committee roles and create lists of members such as teams, novices, or 1st-year members

Messages - Send messages to individual members, all members or created lists without touching your emails

Products - Create products available for purchase such as society hoodies or equipment rental

Events - Create events such as socials, training sessions or away trips

Tickets - Create tickets tied to events so that members can make payments

Sales Report - See recent or historical information on products and tickets sold, purchasers, and money generated

Finances - Process payments such as paying suppliers and reimbursements to members
