The Social Media Officer holds a pivotal role in managing the group's online presence and engagement.  They should be organised, good at taking pictures, great at creating content and stay up to date with all the latest trends. 


They have the following roles and responsibilities: 


Online Presence Management: they are responsible for managing and maintaining the group's presence across a range of social media platforms, including but not limited to TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and the Swansea University website. They ensure that all platforms are up to date and accurately reflect the group's activities and identity. 


Content Creation: they should create engaging and visually appealing content that highlights the group's activities, socials and member experiences. 


Engagement and Interaction: they should actively engage with followers, responds to comments and messages, and encourages interaction through polls, Q&A sessions, and other interactive features. 


In summary, the Social Media Officer is tasked with managing the group's online presence, creating engaging content, and fostering a sense of community among members through various social media platforms. Their role requires creativity, adaptability, and a keen understanding of online trends and engagement strategies.
